Glastonbury, 2013:

It had been 14 years since Coldplay had performed at  Glastonbury, and they decided now their 5 record label deal was over and done with after Mylo Xyloto's 2011 release, and the world tour that had followed it, the band had decided that the venue where it all began would be where they'd call it a day.

Chris, Johnny, Guy and Will woke up in their hotel rooms. They'd refused room service and went to meet in Chris's room to plan their retirement speech.

Chris: We should all say something, we shouldn't make it clear that we're playing for the last time today, untill we're at the last song.

Will: What do we close on?

Chris: I'm not too sure,  we should do Fix You, The Hardest Part or Paradise.

Paul from management comes running in and hands over his iPad Mini, on screen Digialspy is breaking the news that Coldplay would be splitting , as well as unreleased music leaking to Youtube and all over the net.

Chris: This is bad, I don't want people knowing yet, and our un-relaesed music, too? We can't take our 10 year break and come back with a follow-up album, do we tell them all now?

Guy: Hit twitter, tell them to expect an announcement tonight.

Will: No, don't say a word, we want to do this with a bang.

Each member of the band saw that their band mates were crying, they emotions had been running high since the talks in January had started, It'd not been like most bands, they wanted to go out on a high and pursue their own careers but did plan to reform, 'Returning for a second go', their come back album had been recorded in secrete at Chris's House, 79 Belsize Park Gardens for the last two months, it had been finished and was meant to be locked away, but it would seem someone had leaked it.

Chris just posted a good morning message with a smiley emoticon on twitter, threw the iPad mini on the unslept in bed, His insomnia, which he'd had all his life had been terrible for the last few weeks and went for his second shower of the day. The other guys headed down to the bar to drown their sorrows.

Hotel Lobby:

Gwyneth Paltrow, Chloe Lee-Evans, Joanna Berryman and Marianne Dark have come to see their husbands. 

Johnny ran over to Chloe and gave her a cuddle

Johnny: Gwy, Chris is having a shower. we're going to the bar to play you-know-what.

Joanna took Guys arm, gave him a kiss on the lips and continued walking with hi,

Will walked with Marianne.

The six of them headed to the bar, Gwyneth went to Chris's room to wait for him to come out of the shower.Paul, Ken, Jane, Nikki, Josh, Susan

also came to sit down and plan the retirement speech. The drinks included John Smiths, Smerm off ice, JD and coke. Guinness and red wine. When Chris joined the group, the planning really began.

'We've had an amazing 14 years together, but the time's come to go out on a high, after 5 albums, 52 awards, playing at places such as the Grammy's, closing parabolic ceremony, but after all this, it's time to go out on a high, we're going to let you pick the last song you'll hears as a four-piece. We'll be releasing an album of the unreleased songs that are circulating the net, we hope you'll still buy it, more info on when it'll come out will be on the website very soon, we love you and we've got solo projects in the planning stages. We might re-form at some point but we're making no promises, now pick the last song and let's leave on a high.'

Everyone agreed this was the best speech to give, and started deciding what they'd have for lunch before sound check.

Pyramid stage, Glastonbury, sound check:

The band walked, shoulders slumped, heads else down, frowns upon their faces to the Pyramid stage, 

Chris walked to the piano, Johnny set up his acoustic guitar,  Guy, his double base. and Wii sat behind his drum kit.

Guy's I've got to go, I'll do lot's more Saturday, I'm off to London to see some mates and Keane at the o2 tomorrow.
